Hilary Duff recently opened up about her musical comeback and gave fans a glimpse into her upcoming single.
Earlier this week, Duff revealed she plans to release a new song titled Mature on November 6. This marks her first new music since her 2015 album Breathe In.
During the Season Two finale of the Therapuss podcast with host Jake Shane, Duff reflected on returning to the studio after a decade away from music.
“It was always going to happen. There’s no way that that was not going to be a part of my story.”
Now 38, she expressed feeling ready to share her current experiences and connect with listeners on a deeper level.
“Obviously, it’s taken a lot of twists and turns and ups and downs and all of those things, but I have this crazy connection with fans that I’ve known since I was nine, 10 years old, and I just want to connect with them again.”
She acknowledged that both she and her fans have faced similar challenges like complicated relationships, anxiety, raising children, divorces, and family drama.
“Finally I felt safe enough and comfortable in my own family to step outside and open that part of myself up again.”
Duff also teased her single titled This is What Y2K Dreams Are Made Of, hinting at a nostalgic yet fresh musical direction.
After a decade-long break, Hilary Duff embraces her return to music, aiming to reconnect with longtime fans by sharing authentic, relatable stories from her life today.
