The Seattle Kraken endured a rough night at Climate Pledge Arena, falling 6-1 to the San Jose Sharks in a game riddled with errors and poor execution. The Sharks capitalized on nearly every Kraken mistake, marking the home team’s first regulation defeat of the season and ending their five-game points streak.
“It just wasn’t good enough and we have to be better. We’ve played some pretty good hockey here up until now, pretty solid, pretty good at home as well. But tonight was not our night, and there’s reasons for it and we have to fix it,”
said Kraken coach Lane Lambert, acknowledging his team’s disappointing effort.
The loss snapped what had been an encouraging stretch for the Kraken, whose home performance had been strong until this breakdown. The defeat underscored the need for stronger defensive play and sharper puck management moving forward.
The Kraken’s lackluster 6-1 loss to the Sharks exposed key defensive flaws and ended their home points streak, as Macklin Celebrini led San Jose’s dominant performance.
