SUV Crashes with Semi-Truck Near Woodstock
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office reported that an SUV failed to stop at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with a semi-truck, which seriously injured a woman near Woodstock.
Emergency responders from the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, located at the intersection of Route 47 and Charles Road, at 1:06 p.m. on Monday.
- Firefighters found a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and a mid-size SUV.
- Two people were inside the SUV: an adult male and an adult female.
- The woman was pinned inside the vehicle and required extrication to free her, according to Public Information Officer Alex Vucha.
The woman was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.
