Ben Shapiro delivered a sharp critique of Tucker Carlson, accusing the commentator of legitimizing extremist ideologies by giving a platform to white nationalist Nick Fuentes. The dispute emerged after Carlson’s interview with Fuentes, which drew strong reactions within conservative circles.
“This is not about free speech,” Shapiro said during his monologue titled “Tucker Carlson Sabotages America.”
Shapiro called Carlson “an intellectual coward, a dishonest interlocutor, and a terrible friend,” adding that the former Fox News host had become “the most virulent super-spreader of vile ideas in America.” He further accused Carlson of acting as “an ideological launderer,” making extremist rhetoric sound acceptable within the Republican Party.
“Tucker Carlson decided to normalize and fluff Nick Fuentes … and the Heritage Foundation robustly defended that performance,” Shapiro asserted.
Following the interview, Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts praised Carlson, calling him a “close ally” of the organization. Roberts also criticized those attempting to “cancel” Carlson, labeling them a “venomous coalition” intent on sowing division.
“Kevin said openly that Tucker Carlson can do nothing ever that will sever his relationship with the conservative movement,” Shapiro concluded.
Ben Shapiro accused Tucker Carlson of sanitizing extremist ideas through his platform, sparking division within conservative ranks and prompting defense from Heritage Foundation leadership.
