ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded Tuesday afternoon to a serious crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 25 south near Avenida Cesar Chavez.
According to AFR’s Facebook post, the crash occurred around 4:13 p.m. when a large truck pulling a trailer was hit by another vehicle. The collision caused the semi to roll off the highway and separate from its overturned trailer.
One person in the truck was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation, while another driver received medical attention at the scene but did not need to be hospitalized. The incident led to heavy traffic congestion along I-25 and neighboring streets. New Mexico State Police and the Albuquerque Police Department handled the investigation.
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – On Thursday morning, the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office warned drivers about a rollover crash on Interstate 40 eastbound near the Atrisco Vista Boulevard exit.
At approximately 6:17 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the scene. The off-ramp was closed temporarily as emergency personnel cleared the roadway and managed debris.
Motorists were advised to use alternate routes and expect delays until normal traffic resumed.
