Bam Adebayo scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Miami Heat narrowly defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 120-119 on Monday night. Norman Powell contributed 21 points in his return to Southern California, helping Miami secure their second road win in five games.
The Heat shot 54.2% overall and made 12 of 25 three-point attempts. The Clippers were 17 of 41 from beyond the arc, hitting 50%. Los Angeles committed 21 turnovers, allowing Miami to convert those into 37 points.
Miami led 120-116 after Adebayo sank two free throws with 56 seconds left. Adebayo missed a close-range shot with 26 seconds on the clock, but Harden responded with a three-pointer 6 seconds later to cut the deficit to one point.
