DC Public Schools to Receive 29,000 Basketballs
Students in pre-kindergarten through 5th grade across 80 D.C. public schools will receive 29,000 NBA-sized basketballs as part of the "District Dribble" campaign.
Led by Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) and its CEO Ted Leonsis, "District Dribble" is part of a wider campaign under MSE’s multi-year, multi-million dollar District of Play initiative.
“District Dribble” seeks to expand access to youth sports and foster healthier communities across D.C.
- The campaign will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.
- Dozens of community volunteers gathered to prep the delivery, using basketball pumps, a 7.5 metric ton shipment and nearly 1,000 boxes.
