Mail Service to Canada Set to Resume Next Week

Mail shipments to Canada from Bermuda will restart next week despite the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Post Office (BPO) confirmed that mail shipments to Canada will resume on Monday, though some delivery delays may still occur due to the continuing disruptions.

“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”

Mail delivery from Bermuda to Canada was suspended in late September because of a nationwide strike by Canada Post workers. Recently, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a full strike to a rotating strike, enabling mail services to gradually resume.

Local Post Offices Temporary Closure
