During the first of three sold-out shows in Melbourne, Australia, Oasis' Liam Gallagher harshly criticized the person who launched a flare into the crowd on October 31st. The incident occurred at Marvel Stadium as the band concluded their performance with "Champagne Supernova."
Concertgoer Brad Bultman described the moment in an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Initially, the flare was mistaken for part of a pyrotechnic display. However, it soon became clear the situation was dangerous as the flare exploded and was then thrown back into the crowd, creating additional fire and smoke.
“Then very quickly I saw it explode and expand a bit further, and then somebody actually pick up the live flair and toss it back in the air and created more fire and smoke in a different area. I was like, ‘Oh geez’ — you hope nobody gets hurt.”
Gallagher first addressed the audience during the show, saying “naughty, naughty, naughty.” Later, he took to X/Twitter to express his anger more strongly, condemning the individual responsible with colorful language.
“To the massive CUNT who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are 1 seriously fucked up individual and you will get yours trust me.”
Liam Gallagher strongly denounced the dangerous flare incident at his Melbourne concert, emphasizing the serious risk posed to fans and promising consequences for the responsible party.
