In a tense showdown between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Jacksonville Jaguars at Allegiant Stadium, Jaguars kicker Cam Little made NFL history with an extraordinary performance.
At halftime, the Raiders held a narrow 6–3 lead over the Jaguars in what was among the lowest-scoring first halves of Week 9. Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 12 of 19 passes for 100 yards and one interception. Raiders quarterback Geno Smith delivered a strong start, completing 14 of 20 passes for 113 yards and a seven-yard touchdown throw to tight end Brock Bowers.
The highlight of the half came just before the whistle, when Cam Little nailed a monumental 68-yard field goal as time expired in the second quarter.
"That kick was the longest successful field goal in NFL regular-season history, surpassing Justin Tucker's 66-yard record set in 2021."
Little, standing 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 172 pounds, was drafted by Jacksonville in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Arkansas. He earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2023 and concluded his Razorbacks career with an 82.8% field goal completion rate, the highest in program history.
Cam Little’s 68-yard field goal not only sealed his name in NFL history but also showcased the precision and power that make him one of the sport’s brightest young kickers.
