David Brennan and Tim Bailey Enter 2025 Fleet News Hall of Fame
The 2025 FN50 Dinner celebrated the induction of David Brennan and Tim Bailey into the Fleet News Hall of Fame. David Brennan's Career and Achievements
David Brennan, known for his dedication to exceptional customer service, has been a recurring winner at the Fleet News Awards. His career began with the Rover Group in the late 1980s, followed by roles in consultancy at AT Kearney, VP at Polk, and director at Capita. He moved into fleet management as managing director of LeasePlan in 2006.
- During his eight years at LeasePlan, Brennan doubled group profits.
- He secured Sunday Times ‘Best Companies’ status for the business.
- Customer loyalty rose to 90% under his leadership.
- The company achieved second place in the FN50 rankings.
Currently, Brennan serves as non-executive chairman at Nexus Vehicle Rental after eight years as CEO and holds the chairman position at Direct Tyre Management.
Peer Support and Community Involvement
In 2018, Brennan co-founded Pep Talks, a peer-to-peer learning community aimed at helping CEOs of private equity-backed companies stay “match fit.”
“It is a support network that I wish I’d had,” Brennan reflects.
