The 2025 FN50 Dinner celebrated the induction of David Brennan and Tim Bailey into the Fleet News Hall of Fame. This prestigious award, sponsored by The AA and presented by business services director James Starling, honours individuals who have made significant contributions to the fleet sector throughout their careers.
David Brennan, known for his dedication to exceptional customer service, has been a recurring winner at the Fleet News Awards. His career began with the Rover Group in the late 1980s, followed by roles in consultancy at AT Kearney, VP at Polk, and director at Capita. He moved into fleet management as managing director of LeasePlan in 2006.
Currently, Brennan serves as non-executive chairman at Nexus Vehicle Rental after eight years as CEO and holds the chairman position at Direct Tyre Management.
In 2018, Brennan co-founded Pep Talks, a peer-to-peer learning community aimed at helping CEOs of private equity-backed companies stay “match fit.”
“It is a support network that I wish I’d had,” Brennan reflects.
This initiative reflects his commitment to sharing expertise and supporting peers in leadership roles.
