The 2025 season of Big Brother is approaching, and new host Mel Tracina has revealed some intriguing details about this year's contestants. The show will return to its original network, Channel 10, nearly 17 years after its last season aired there in 2008.
Tracina described the range of housemates as:
“It’s ranging from a grandmother to a single mum to a barber to a self-confessed bogan.”
She emphasized the collection includes both blue-collar and white-collar workers, highlighting the diverse backgrounds of participants. This variety reflects a broad spectrum of ages, spanning five decades.
Unlike other Australian reality programs, Tracina noted that Big Brother does not require contestants to meet specific physical or mental criteria.
“You don’t need to be physically or mentally strong, like you would [on] Survivor.”
This difference allows a wider variety of personalities and stories to come forward during the show.
Tracina has so far revealed only a few vague details about the full cast and has not disclosed the total number of housemates for this season.
“We have a diverse range,”she said, referring to the variety of people chosen for the 2025 season.
Mel Tracina previews a diverse and inclusive cast for Big Brother 2025, returning to Channel 10 for its 16th season, promising fresh personalities and stories without strict contestant requirements.
