After his remarkable victory at the Bank of Utah Championship, Michael Brennan has formally accepted PGA TOUR membership, which grants him exemption through the 2027 season.
Brennan, 23, from Leesburg, Virginia, secured exempt status on the Korn Ferry Tour for 2026 by finishing first in the 2025 Fortinet Cup standings on PGA TOUR Americas. He earned three wins across four events during August and September, a performance that cemented his rapid rise in professional golf.
By winning the Bank of Utah Championship, he received 500 FedExCup points and entered the FedExCup Fall standings. The victory also earned him exemptions into major tournaments including THE PLAYERS Championship, the RBC Heritage, and the PGA Championship in 2026.
Competing in his third PGA TOUR event—and his first as a professional—Brennan entered the Bank of Utah Championship via a sponsor exemption. He led by two strokes entering the final round and sealed his triumph with a 66 on Sunday at Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah, finishing four shots ahead of Rico Hoey.
“It’s an incredible feeling to officially become a PGA TOUR member,” Brennan said after his win. “This is the result of years of dedication and belief in the process.”
Brennan will debut as a TOUR member at the upcoming World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos, Mexico, and will be considered a PGA TOUR rookie for the remainder of the 2025 season.
