CNN’s Election Night coverage will feature a streaming-only live cast hosted by Harry Enten, with guests including Charlamagne tha God, Ben Shapiro, and Kara Swisher. This new format aims to attract younger, digital viewers and is available exclusively on CNN’s subscription-based streaming service, “All Access.” It will not be broadcast on traditional cable TV.
Unlike typical CNN broadcasts, the group will forgo a formal desk setup and instead gather on couches to discuss voting results casually over food and drink. The participants include provocative radio host Charlamagne tha God, conservative podcaster and author Ben Shapiro, and technology journalist Kara Swisher, alongside host Harry Enten.
“We are excited to build upon CNN’s best-in-class election coverage and provide a unique and more casual experience for subscribers to CNN’s new streaming service,” said Abigail Crutchfield, CNN senior vice president of Washington and special-events programming.
“The goal of the program, which sounds very unlike traditional CNN fare, is to give streaming audiences unfiltered access to a raw, smart, engaging conversation with some of the biggest voices in media as the results unfold.”
This approach represents CNN’s effort to innovate election coverage by creating a more relaxed, interactive experience tailored to a digital audience.
