Projected Charlotte City Council Race Winners in the 2025 Election

Charlotte’s 2025 municipal elections took place on Tuesday, November 4. Local residents voted for at-large and district city council seats.

At-Large Seat Winners

Voters re-elected four Democratic incumbents for the at-large city council positions:

These results are based on 167 of 169 voting precincts being reported.

Election results are not official until certified by the Board of Elections.

County election boards in North Carolina are scheduled to certify the results of the November 4, 2025, municipal election later this month.

District Seat Results

In addition to at-large positions, voters also selected district representatives. While some races were decided during the September primary, two others concluded in the general election.

Democrat Joi Mayo won the District 3 seat, defeating incumbent Tiawana Brown, who lost during the primary. Brown made headlines recently due to wire fraud charges related to an alleged loan scheme.
